Name: Laparoscopic Instruments

Applications: The gold standard for laparoscopic surgery is cholecystectomy. Generally speaking, most general

surgical procedures can be performed laparoscopically, such as appendectomy, repair of gastric and

duodenal ulcer perforations, hernia repair, colectomy, splenectomy, adrenalectomy, as well as ovarian cyst removal,

ectopic pregnancy surgery, hysterectomy, and more.

Description:

There are many basic laparoscopic instruments, primarily including the laparoscope lens, dissecting forceps,

atraumatic forceps, Veress needle (pneumoperitoneum needle), large grasping forceps, electrocautery hook,

bipolar electrocautery, ultrasonic scalpel, and disposable cutting staplers used during laparoscopic procedures.

The laparoscope lens connects to a monitor, providing real-time images during the surgical operation.

Dissecting forceps are mainly used for tissue separation, while atraumatic forceps are more suitable for

clamping organs and tissues, such as the gallbladder, intestines, or liver, with minimal damage.

The electrocautery hook and bipolar electrocautery are primarily used for tissue dissection and hemostasis.

Large grasping forceps can extract resected tissues or organs, such as the gallbladder, among others.
